Afonja: The rise

Afonja The Rise is the first book in the Afonja Trilogy. Historical fiction, set in the final days of the collapse of the Oyo Empire.

It chronicles the story of Afonja, the powerful warrior who is the chief of Ilorin, and Alaafin Aole, the emperor of the Oyo Empire to which Ilorin belongs, and how the clashes between these two men accelerate the beginning of the end of the empire.
