The Return of Santa Paws

“Take the positions that I taught you, okay?” Uncle Steve ordered, as he struggled to keep the plane in the air. “Keep your eyes closed, and don’t look up until we have come to a stop!”
There didn’t seem to be any place to land, as the trees rushed closer and closer. One of the mountains had a bald spot near the top, and Uncle Steve guided the unresponsive plane toward it.
They were falling, more than dropping, now. Gregory and Patricia both bent forward in their seats, and covered their heads with their arms.
“Lie down, Santa Paws!” Gregory yelled without lifting his head. “Lie down, boy!”(back of the book)
